Last Saturday, I went to Kemayoran to witness some activities prepared by some established firms in Indonesia. Upon entering the vicinity of Gambir Expo, a lot of cars parked. That proved how popular the exhibition was to the Indonesian people. The Entrance fee we paid was 20, 000 rp each person. Not only that, the ticket served as raffle draw entry paving the way of receiving lots of prizes if you’re lucky enough to have it. The area was huge and crowded as I entered with different performances in every corner I visited. That made me confused actually. Each hall has corresponding products shown. If you need electronics with great sale then go to a specific hall, if you are looking for some traditional products, then you can have it. I toured the place around 12 hours and it was insufficient for me. The time was not enough really. So, I decided to come back and search for the items I have to buy.
Thousands of tenants who participate in Jakarta Fair 2008 attended the technical meeting in Semeru Room 6th floor Pusat Niaga building Arena Pekan Raya Jakarta Kemayoran, held by Jakarta Fair organizer PT. Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), on Tuesday (5/13) morning. This is the 41st times of Jakarta Fair.
Those tenants were getting full explanation about Jakarta Fair such as ticket price, promotion material, parking, and how to get the venue by public transportation.
PT. JIExpo also explained about the stand placement zones. Hall A is for home appliance, plastic, furniture, interior building material, carpet, and so on. Hall B and C are for State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) and Regional-Owned Enterprises from all over Indonesia.
Hall D is for sport equipment, health equipment, cosmetics, herbal medicine, telecommunication devices, banking, electronics, bicycle, and many more. Hall E is for handicraft, garment, school stationery, and multi products. While in an Open Space, mostly tenants are from automotives, food & beverages, herbs, and cigarettes.
To get the fair more merry, organizer has set up a 24 hours music stage for the next 32 days in main stage area. There will be various artists such as Dewa, Slank, Ada band, Project Pop, Dewi Persik, Inul Daratista, glenn Fredly, Hadi Mirza (Asian Idol 2007), Maliq n d`Essential, Samson, and may more.
